Dr. William M. Chamberlin is a retired gastroenterologist who is currently conducting research into MAP. He received his medical degree from Tufts University and completed his residency in internal medicine at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. From there, he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. His early work experience took him to positions in Thailand, Southern Australia, Papua New Guinea, Germany and Japan. He served 20 years in the U.S. Army Medical Corps with his last assignment being at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research where he studied the immune systems responses to microbial infections before settling into private practice. His primary research areas are Crohn’s disease, hormonal immune regulation, and emergence and evolution in biological systems and disease.
Dr. Amy Hermon-Taylor
Dr. Amy Hermon-Taylor is a doctor (GP) from Clapham in London, UK and is the daughter of Prof. John Hermon-Taylor who is leading the world with the development of a modern virally-vectored DNA vaccine against Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP). Amy does not suffer with IBD herself but grew up with the fight to cure Crohn’s Disease as a topic of daily conversation. In gaining a degree in Natural Sciences (Cambridge 1996), a degree in Medicine (St. George’s Medical School, London 2001) and subsequently reading the literature on MAP in Crohn’s Disease extensively for herself, she has come to have a good understanding of the science underpinning the Vaccine research -as well as the integrity of the man behind it.
Patrick McLean
Patrick McLean holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota. After four years in basic and applied research in protein nutrition, he moved into sales and marketing for J. Hungerford Smith Co., International Multifoods Corporation (US and Canada) and Catelli Ltd (Canada). In 1983 Patrick joined Ralston Purina Co. (Canada) and became Vice President, General Manager for the animal health division. He has spent the past 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry with strategic marketing, communications and operational management responsibilities.
Dr. Michael T. Collins
Michael T. Collins, DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVM is a professor in the Department of Pathobiological Sciences at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. He obtained his doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the University of Minnesota and his PhD from the University of Georgia. He has earned the prestigious title of Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Microbiologists.
