The specific carbohydrate diet (SCD) is a strict grain-free, lactose-free and sucrose-free diet therapy.
Until recently the link between diet, gut bacteria and disease had been ignored by mainstream medicine. When I was diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis/Crohn’s disease six years ago, I was ignorant to the extent to which it would change my life.
