Golf Tournament Raises $24,000 for MAP Research

The Fight for the Cure Golf tournament on May 17th was a fantastic success! Net funds to MAP research totaled $24,315.46 as follows:

$31,013.55          Golf Tournament proceeds
$1,682.71            Knitted hat sales prior to the event
-$8,380.80           Fees for golf and food
$24,315.46          Net Proceeds for MAP research!!

And donations are still trickling in! We believe the Joint MAP Testing Study is now fully funded (which includes Next-Generation Sequencing on at least 10 recovered isolates). Any remaining funds will be put towards a future MAP study. Human Para’s next research project will be determined in part by the findings of the Berkeley Conference working session on September 22, 2018, and the results of our current testing study.

Thank You!

A huge round of applause to everyone who made the 2018 Fight for the Cure golf tournament a success, including all of our volunteers who made this event possible.

Valerie, John and Penelope Joly, without who this event would not exist.
Steve and Connie Knight for their time and generosity in organizing the baskets, raffle, auction and signage.
